ABOUT ROB HOWARD
Realtor | Author | Podcaster | Knoxville Shepa
Welcome! I’m Rob Howard, known around town as @KnoxvilleRob. After building a fulfilling life with my beautiful bride Amy and 22 year real estate career, I’ve designed my days around three passions: helping great people find their perfect homes in Knoxville, writing mysteries that bring our city to life, and sharing the stories and pictures of what makes this Smoky Mountain community special.

Real Estate with Purpose
I work selectively, having grown my business through the years, working clients I can be truly passionate about helping – most become true friends. Whether you’re discovering Knoxville for the first time or you’re a longtime local ready for your next chapter, I bring decades of local knowledge and a commitment to making your real estate experience both successful and enjoyable.

My four-legged quality control specialist, Dickens (a friendly and charming Havanese), often joins me to ensure every property meets our high standards for comfort and character. He’s hypoallergenic and is happy to stay home with mom if you think he’d be a distraction.
Storytelling & Writing
As the author of the “Frank Merchant mystery series”, including “Principles of Real Estate and Murder” and the upcoming “The Second Story,” I love weaving Knoxville’s authentic character into engaging fiction. My goal is simple: produce at least one novel per year while exploring the fascinating intersection of real estate, local history, and human nature.

“A Knoxville Podcast”
Since 2007, I’ve been capturing and sharing the essence of what makes our city unique through “A Knoxville Podcast.” From Dogwood Arts Festival coverage to hidden local gems, from real estate insights to conversations with fascinating neighbors, the podcast celebrates everything that makes Knoxville a place people are proud to call home.
Beyond Business
When I’m not helping clients or crafting stories, you’ll find me managing Howard’s Pond in Polk County—a micro-resort with a collection of peaceful Cottage and Tiny house retreats located on my grandparents homestead farm. It is a beautiful location that caters to outdoor enthusiasts exploring the Cherokee National Forest and Ocoee River. It’s the perfect blend of hospitality and investment that reflects my approach to life: work with purpose, create value, and always leave room for authentic relationships.
Let’s Connect
Whether you’re curious about Knoxville real estate, interested in my writing, or just want to chat about what makes our city special, I’d love to hear from you. After all, the best part of this work isn’t the transactions—it’s the people and stories that make each day interesting.
